Inspired by Ernest Hemingway’s The Old Man and the Sea the idea was born to take the old story and bring it in a whole new context. The perseverance of the old man is very impressive. But the novel leaves us with many questions.

What if the fish was really equal to the old man? What if the creature was indeed that strong, so it changes the old man in a way he finally respects the strength of this animal and the nature around him?

In March 2017 the idea is taking shape. Fish for Life is an ambitious shortfilm project about the old fisherman Manolin who longs to get back into his business by making the biggest catch of his life. But in the end he realizes, what he is destroying with his perseverance.
